Aluminum Sliding Motor Mount for Axial SCX6 Transmission

This motor mount allows you to use other brands of motors (Castle, Hobbywing, etc) and pinions down to 11 tooth. 
Aluminum construction prevents the housing from flexing during high-torque situations. 
The stock housing can deform under high loads and cause incorrect mesh and premature wear on transmission parts. 

All the hardware you'll need is included as pictured. You'll reuse bearings and some screws from your transmission. 
The motor mounting screws are included, but will NOT work with all motors. 
It will be your responsibility to check their length to ensure proper fit. A screw going too far into the motor WILL cause damage. 

The surface finish has been left as-machined, without additional processing or anodizing. 
Expect surface imperfections from machining and handling, this is the intended look.

CnB is a remote control hobby shop in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We recently purchased a CNC milling machine, and asked each of the employees for a project we would make. 
This is one employee's request after seeing a well-known and quality manufacturer offering one similar. 
Since we didn't have one of those, we set out to design ours from the ground up. 
We 3D scanned the stock transmission parts and sliced them apart in the computer to get approximate hole locations. 
Then 3D built the CAD model on the computer, including spur and pinion models so we could try different ones virtually. 
A few 3D prints were made as we changed little things here and there, landing on the final design. 
The last step of the process was to program and mill all the parts on our new machine, and this is the final product!
