JConcepts JCO316801 Renegades Monster Truck Tire Blue Compound

This is a pair of Renegades blue compound monster truck tires from JConcepts. Only the best of the best vehicles can dream of reaching the top step on the podium. Getting there requires the correct setup, great driving, and just as important, a performance-driven tire and race compound. During the heyday of monster truck racing, cut treads became a popular method of reducing weight or altering a pattern in order to adjust for specific track conditions. The Renegades tire by JConcepts is the embodiment of the low-profile carcass and cut-tread movement, perfect for getting winning results straight out of the package.

The chevron-styled lugs were created with an innovative back-cut tread and shaved carcass areas imitating the real thing. When rotating, the tread stands tall and provides a strong edge with an impressive amount of forward bite in many conditions. The back-cut section provides a quick transition during high-speed cornering and can conform to changing terrain and obstacles. The side-walls have been treated with wording, designs, and descriptions consistent with 1:1 tires for the ultimate look on the market.

The low profile stance of the Renegades stays very flat during race course competition, speed-runs, or general use. The tire carcass profile holds the weight extremely low while the design of the tire beads allow just the right amount of contact for gluing and application. The Renegades measure in at 5.8 x 4.0 x 2.6 and are available in blue and gold compounds. The soft blue compound is recommended for dirt, grass, and asphalt; it feels noticeably mushy and sticky, having the expanding characteristics similar to off-road racing compounds. The gold compound is much harder to the touch and is more suited for carpet, AstroTurf, and polished concrete surfaces.
